The Elisabeth Elder Care Unit provides its residents with luxurious state-of-the-art facilities, offering 24-hour nursing care and medical supervision by specialized staff, as well as services in physiotherapy, rehabilitation, and modern traumatology. Holistic care may include, among other things, a rich program of activities such as excursions, music days, gardening, beauty, art and crafts, ensuring that all the needs of the elderly are met. Additionally, in a beautifully landscaped garden on the rooftop of the five-floor building, overlooking the preserved French Church and the Thessaloniki State Conservatory, the residents and visitors of the unit will have the opportunity to enjoy exquisite meals and beverages, as well as watch movies on a large screen.

Long-term and short-term accommodation options.

• Continuous care for the personal hygiene of the residents, as well as high-quality cleaning services throughout the premises of the Elder Care Unit, ensuring a healthy living environment.

• Five main meals, designed to meet the dietary needs of the residents, ensuring an adequate intake of calories and nutrients. The food is prepared in the kitchen of the Elder Care Unit using the finest ingredients.

• Dietary supervision and monitoring of metabolism by a specialized dietitian-nutritionist.

• Daily medical monitoring and 24-hour nursing care, ensuring proper information for prevention and timely diagnosis for immediate therapeutic intervention in any health-related matters that may arise.

• Comprehensive hematological, biochemical, serological and urological examination upon admission, conducted by a collaborating microbiological laboratory. Following the receipt of the test results, the physician of the Elder Care Unit, if deemed necessary, will prescribe medication and repeat laboratory tests.

• Safe management and administration of medication to the resident, as well as temporary hospitalization. Hospitalization is limited to the timely diagnosis of illness and care for the timely admission to the appropriate medical facility.

• Specially designed spaces equipped with all necessary aids (handrails, ramps, regular and specialized walking sticks, walkers, etc.) to facilitate self-service, self-protection, and overall daily activities of the resident.

• Fully equipped physiotherapy unit, aimed at improving the physical health and enhancing the physical condition of the residents through the application of various techniques and methods by experienced healthcare professionals, with the goal of improving their self-care abilities, whenever scientifically feasible.

• Rich program of activities for engagement, entertainment and enhancement of the psychological well-being of the residents, tailored according to each individual’s age, condition and needs.
